I took my k-member with steering rack completely out of the car.
I installed the urethane sub strut kit and urethane sway bar bushings into the K-member.
Reinstalled the K-member putting the spline into the coupler.
Torqued down the K-member and reinstalled bolt into coupler. Tested steering (while in air) and it seemed fine.
Reattaced the rack to the wheel and then turned and it would not turn wheels and heard rubbing in the rack.
Noticed that the flat spot was at the edge of the coupler and not next to the bolt.
HOW the heck do I get the steering rack to move up a 1/2 inch or the steering coupler to move down. Do I need to remove the K-member again?
TECH BOOK IS COMPLETELY SILENT ON THIS. ARRRG.
What is the answer to this delemma?
