I agree with Bnasty, move it over to the drivers side a bit. and mock up looks good. Should look real nice after the install is complete. Keep us posted I would like to see how it turns out.

Nice. Don't be surprised if women giggle at the size of it though. Lol. But keep us posted. Be interested to see the finished pics.

Woah! Where is it? That's small. I hope your plans aren't too big.
My goal is 300-350HP

Some of the bolts on the bottom didnt allow me to center the intercooler completly. This was the best I could do.

Looks good, that way you don't impede on radiator flow. Are you going short route or long route?

I have the DEJON TooL Upper piping which Im keeping and just routing that to the FMIC, so Long route..

Thanks for all the comments, I'll post pictures of the finished product

Oh yeah? Try sailing to France in a john boat. Lol

looks good, is it leveled so it sits straight when you put the bumper on. put a level on it.

personally I would have gone bigger, so I have room to grow. What brand is that intercooler? If its a well made core then it might be sufficient.

excuse me guys, respect the forum, this is DSMtuners.com not Boattuners.com LOL

Looks really good. Thats the exact same one im going to use on my 83 Rx7. Except i got mine for 150:(

Looks good man :thumb:
Pics of the completed with bumper and everything will hide how small it is ROFL
But it's deffinently better than the big mac box of a side mount you started with :D

I had an ebay one that size. It was choking off the flow from my E316g, and it didn't cool my air charge worth squat.

Just swapping it out for a 600hp PTE core yielded huge gains for me. Looks good though, I miss how shiny my Ebay IC was.

.. how are you routing it
from the upper pipe? (with what? because i im trying to do the same thing, going from where the stock upper intercooler ends to the inlet of the turbo, but idk with what..

By the way it looks good.. good luck!

Are there mounts other than the bottom? If not that's going to be pretty flimsy.

Don't forget radiator ducting.

Well I just have the two bottom right now, planning to install the middle to the rad support soon

once you take off the SMIC, all you need is a pipe extention and a jpipe to connect it to the FMIC, I plan on getting the Jpipe from the 16g turbo bent at a muffler shop so it points towards the driver side.

X2 ^unless you have a 2ga bumper I suppose it wont look that bad
