Installed new BOV and IC pipes

Fianlly i got my greddy type S BOV and greddy upper/lower pipes and new intake in, casue i was vented before w/ the blitz. took 4 hrs, but came out perfect it was me,my bro, and my friend, the only thing, that was werid and was wondering if u guys had to do, when i took the stock upper IC pipes right by the intake cone/air filter that really thin pecie of pipe that connects to IC, well where the BOV sits the stock peice woundt come off and coundt get to the screws because they were metal lines in front of it guessing a/c lines so i sawed it off, just wondering if anyone else had to do that,or what you did to get the upper IC pipe off, and also when i installed my greddy type S and started the car, i didnt have to tune the spring at ALL, it was idling at 800, is it normal not to touch the spring on the BOV and whats the hard /soft on their, to make it louder, its louder, but not really loud.

Lol..What did you saw-off?

I never sawed anything off when replacing my IC pipes.

The support arm on the stock UICP that goes under the fuse box I assume. We though we would have to hack mine off but it broke when we tugged on it.

I believe what he is speaking of is a simple mount that bolts up to the stock plastic intercooler pipe directly between the BOV and the fuse box, it's one 10mm or 12mm bolt. I believe that it's only purpose is to keep the stock IC pipe from flopping around. I had a tough time getting to mine when I took the plastic pipe off but I got it off somehow. It did get in my way when i was fabricating my IC piping so I simply bent it out of the way.

yup thats where it was it was a 10mm but two metal lines where in the way, but it was fun using the saw

If you couldnt fit a wrench in there how did you fit a saw in there? Lol. I think the only problem I had with the upper intercooler pipe was that the pipe sticks up a little far and i cant fasten the fuse box back down. Its just resting on top of the pipe. Anyone else have this problem. I still just have the fuse box sliding around in there.

kinda hard to explain, we bascially ripped the old upper IC pipes sawed that too, then cut it from the left side, so we didnt cut any wires, yeah i had a bit of trouble putting the fuse box back just, kept moving it around and it finally fitted into palce

Make sure you do a leak test. I installed the entire UICP/S-pipe/1G BOV and ran on it for a month. High end was gone, gas mileage was crap...finally I did a leak test and found a big leak at the S-pipe/TB connection, a big leak at my UICP/S-Pipe hose connection, and a small leak at my BOV/UICP Flange. Fixed it and gas mileage and power is up.
