i just had a crank walk on my 97 eclipse spyder gst. just got a complete rebuild including crankshaft, stage 3 clutch, 12lb flywheel, pistong, rings, oil pump, new turbo, the whole works. when i got my car back it idled at 150rpm and when i came up to stop signs, between down shifts it would die. brought it back to the shop n they adjusted the ecu. car ran fine. after 500 miles i got the oil changed, car ran fine. i let another 500 miles go by and i decided to add the new air intake. now my car idles fine, and when i drive slow n not give much gas so only a few boost let out car is fine, but when i am a little heavier on the gas and more boost goes, between shifts the rpms drop n it will die... is the ecu not adjusting? it only happens after bigger boost... any help? thanx

Well you need to fill us in on how much boost you're running, and what are the exact names of each part you're using.

Im still new to the DSM world but i had the same issue with my buddies car a while back, he was throwing a code for his MAF after he installed his CAI, might be something to check out.

the clutch is f1 racing stage 3 clutch. competition clutch racing 12lb forged flywheel. i did take the CAI off and put the stock one back on and after some rough idling it did get better. i am running on the stock boost so about 8psi.

did you remove or cap off the recirculation tube ? That sounds like whats going on here, also do you have an aftermarket Blow off valve ?

the light flywheel will make the RPMS drop much quicker than a stock flywheel. Plus if you disconnected the battery, the ecu has to "learn" what to do to keep the idle after revving or letting off the gas. Its much tougher with the light flywheel.

brought it back to the shop n they adjusted the ecu.

How did they adjust it? You do not have your vehicle profile filled out, so we do not know what type or engine management you have. You probably just forgot to recirculate your BOV by the symptoms you are describing. You can check that the MAF is plugged in, but you would most likely have a bad idle if that was unplugged.
