Instal Steel BOV intercooler pipe, rest stock

Hi, I picked up a piece of intercooler piping for only the section that connects to the BOV because I need to install a BOV that cannot connect to the stock intercooler piping. I was wondering if I can install this piece without buying the complete set. Any help is awesome, thanks!

Your account is set to private so i can't see the pic. Copy the img code from the pic and post it in the thread. Being that the upper pipe is plastic you won't be able to just couple that pipe into the stock piping. I've seen people cut the plastic pipe and put a coupler on that, but there is no lip on the plastic pipe so you will blow the coupler off every time you go into boost.

What kind of bov do you have? I have a flange for greddy bov's that drops into the stock pipe hole and you clamp it, then bolt the greddy bov to it. Works on stock 2G, not sure about 1G

Either option mentioned should be fine at stock boost levels, but I would recommend getting a flange to connect the BOV to your stock piping. Then when you upgrade the rest of the piping do it at one time and you will still have your stock piping in tact.

That definitely won't work without some fabrication. You should of just got an adapter that would utilize the plastic pipe and used a 1g bov.

Actually just got some 90 degree joints and some steel tubing and it is working just fine, if not a bit homemade. The BOV is an SSQV an d it already has the flange on the piping. All I had to do was drop the move the fuse box, and everything fit. It runs much better now with out the leaking stock BOV.

You do know they have an attachment for the stock bov flange to an ssqv flange. . . Would have made it much easier and cleaner. . .

That severely kinked upper intercooler hose is a bad idea.

Because he rigged it up and twisted the hose up instead of modifying the pipe to fit it right.

About to fix the Twist, as it is clogging up air, but the Stock IC piping isnt flexible enough to make the connection. Going to cut it so it fits.

Yeah, couldn't find that part, I suppose I didn't look very hard. That would have been easier, thanks for the link, if this all blows up Ill use that. Need to start looking on Ebay first I suppose.
