Okay so I have a 1999 Mitsubishi eclipse gsx, I'm trying to get it inspected but I'm being told it won't pass because it has a 95 ECU (with a ECMLink tuning chip). Do I need to put the original computer back in?

Haha, so what are you getting it inspected for? I know multiple guys in Houston that don't even need for you to bring the car in. Put a feeler out on your local Facebook group and I guarantee you will find someone.

I need it inspected so I can get tags, then I can ship it out here and won't have to worry about it anymore

Are you trying to get it inspected in NC? If so, you will pass with the 95 ECU.
DSMs are also exempt from the readiness monitors in NC.

Ahh ok. But seriously, I'm literally on the phone with someone right now getting my inspection done.

You also have a 1g. Don't know how it is where you live but in NC, an obdII car has to be physically connected to their diagnostic machine to access the system.
