Allright here's the sitch. I have a 98 cobra for the summer but i just got a :talon: Talon TSi for the winter months. I am like psyched to start the modding but i can;t deside what to do. Being as it is that i already have a pretty cool car in the Cobra i was gonna just add intake and exhaust to quicken up the Talon. My friend has an SRT-4 and bought the intake for his car before he bought a BOV. It sounded pretty sweet and you can really hear the turbo sucking in the air. Am i gonna get the same effect of my stock BOV being louder and having the turbo spoiling louder?

injen does not make an intake for 90-94. If you want to vent the blow off valve to make more noise, your gunna need a GM MAS ($~30), Ramchargers MAFT ($199), and a blow through UICP (make your self for cheap, or buy for around $180), and a louder, aftermarket bov. Venting the bov does nothing for peformance, just makes more noise. Also, if you get a hard intake pipe the turbo will be louder (make your self for cheap, or spend $80). For now though, there is a silencer in the stock air metering system, remove that, and the turbo will be louder.

If you want to quicken it up, leave the bov alone as it can handle almost anything you can throw at it, just turn up the boost to 14psi or so, and get a good 3" turbo back exhaust system. You won't see much of a gain from intake piping, but you will from a new K&N filter.

You are gunna have to spend at LEASE $300 (assuming you make your own intake piping) to make the bov loud. Many find that just putting a aftermarket bov and recirculating it makes plenty of noise.

My final thoughts (haha): Get a good exhaust, air filter, and a manual boost controller. If you have cash laying around, then get the intake piping.

EDIT: I just noticed you have a 95. Injen does make the intake pipe for it, but I feel it is over priced. It kinda sounds like you are going for a little bit of speed and a lot of noise, if thats the case get hard intake pipes and remove the silencer, yes everything will be louder.

when i was suffering from a bit of rice, (when i first bought the gst) i vented my stock bov, with the stock intake. it was loud, i didn't have sputter problems like some say, but i've since seen the error of my ways. :) the cheapest non homade intake ive found is from www.dejontool.com that's what i bought, and i got the gm maf and maft set up in blow thru with all hard pipes from dejontool, and a 14b, i hear it spool madly.
