I was wondering which one you dsmers preferred. I've got a 96 gsx, but it got broken into a few months back. My injen intake and maf were taken along with some other things. Insurance is being a butt, so I'm wondering if i should go for a used $90 dejon tool intake or a used $175 injen intake. I'm guessing there's only a 1 or 2 hp difference between them in gains. But any info in hp gains or worth is greatly appreciated. Thanks. ;)

yo could spend 30 bucks not even that at an metal or exhaust shop and make one. why spend over 50 buck for sumfin you could can make. its a waste of money. unless the ones on ebay are around 40 bucks then that aint too bad but 90 used hahah thats sjust stupid

I am running a 52 trim under the hood. A new dejon for my car model would be $145 w/o the filter vs $90 for intake & k&n filter (only 3 months old btw) A new injen would be about $220 vs $175 used. I haven't heard much on the dejon so i thought i'd ask. I don't know if I can trust a self made one from any old metal shop...

go to dejon tool, or find a used one in teh clasifieds on here, or dsm trader.

and home depot intakes are perfectly normal. no hurt to be done using one.

Dejon tool is a pretty good outfit with a long track record. It's owned by a DSM guy named David Johnson.
I have been a customer for a while, having bought both machine shop inspection tools and turbo intakes from them.
Customer service and product quality have both been very good. The only negative in my experience is Dejon tends to skimp on couplers to keep costs down.
Given the choice between an actual DSM person and a faceless foriegn corporation, I'd have to give my money to Dejon.

Yeah, the worm clamps do suck, but what can you really say when his pipes are about $100 less than everyone except for Dave Brode?

Speaking of which, have you considered Dave Brode pipes?

Dejon Tool, have their intake with recirc. on my 1G and I love it. I would NEVER think about buying a used intake for $175, that just seems rediculous

I like my injen intake however the intake is shaped to mate up with the stock maf. I just picked up a gm maf and will have to move it up into the piping now :/
