Hey people I feel like a knob right now. It’s been bothering me after my Miata fuel injector went out and thinking about using DSM injectors that are laying around my garage. Due to a tight budget I can’t afford to upgrade or buy OEM injectors for my Miata. I may and may not use the resistor box if I choice to use the DSM injectors? I couldn’t get a straight answer.

Main question
I was wondering why the 4g63 turbo DSM use resistor box and the non turbo 4g63 doesn’t? Even though it’s a non turbo and turbo their ECU is very similar. According to this website Fuel Injector information & Specifications specs it shows that the DSM injectors are (Peak and Hold Driver/Injectors) which mean their low impedance or low ohm. If that the case their injectors are low impedance why does the non turbo DSM don’t use the resistor box? If the injectors from a non turbo 4g63 is not using a resistor box which tells me the injectors are high impedance or high ohm…right or I‘m wrong??? I don’t know if the site had mislead or I misunderstand or what so ever? I’m totally lost on this one. Please help me understand. Thanks

When I get a straight answer I’ll decide if I’ll use the DSM injectors on my Miata.

The turbo injectors are low impedance hence the injector resistor pack.
The non-turbo injectors are high impedance hence no resistor pack.

I figure. I went to the auto part store and got me a digital multimeter and done a few test on these 4G63 turbo and non turbo injectors and the injectors from my Miata. The non turbo 4G63 injectors are high impedance but not the 450cc turbo injectors. So the website did mislead. I hope it run right.
