So first time DSM owner here, I have a 97 Spyder GST.

When I got the car it had 650 cc injectors with a SAFC2 air flow module installed. I got the car running and was running super rich, so I wanted to switch back to stock injectors so I didn't have to use the module.

Now that the 450cc stock injectors are in and the module disconnected/and or connected it will turn over and start for a second but then dies immediately. Help me out here please. Thank you.

Only disconnect the SAFC2 wouldn't work, actually would make it worse if you don't reconnect the air flow signal wire for ECU since it has been cut. Also setting back to zero shouldn't work in case if the SAFC base setting or its wirings are wrong.

If you want to go back with the stock injectors, disconnect the air flow signal wire from the SAFC2 and reconnect it to ECU (Your air flow signal wire is cut and the SAFC2 is sandwiched between MAF sensor and ECU). Now ECU would work for the stock injectors (Assuming you don't have other issues). And if you want, you can leave the other wires to use the SAFC2 as a gauge for monitoring engine speed/knock count/TPS %.

I did that as well. I even learned how to re-wire the SAFC2 just in case I messed something up in-between.

This video is the car trying to start if that helps at all.

If you disconnect the air flow signal wire from the SAFC and reconnect it to ECU, the SAFC2 has nothing to do with the ECU anymore, so the issue is not the SAFC2. The issue is something else. Many things could cause the issue, so you should narrow down.

Are the injectors you got used? Maybe they are clogged.
Brand new oem remanufactured

Got any ideas?
