I was wondering if its a common issue for galant vr4 to miss on injector#1
the reson i ask is because my vr4 is all stock and it started doing that i checked all plugs and sprak plugs all seam fine
1cly# died of detonation the SP was all mashed up but no damege to piston ???

SO could this be an ecu issue?
bad injector ?

TIA

Its rare for a injector to be faulty. Does it misfire all the time? Just under boost what? Do a compression test and see what you get.

i had the problem with my gsx...the injector was bad... i replaced it and its been fine ever since. Yes its rare but it does happen.

I figure it would be my injector since I always run it low on gas the compression was fine untill the perticular cylinder that was miss fireing detonated and went bye bye sprakplug looked smachec

Note: I have no spark issues it's all fuel issues

All the time, or only in boost?

just normal driving with boos and with out boost

Check the wiring first to make sure you don't have a loose connection. In my personal experience, the car will actually drive on 3 cylinders for awhile (30+ miles) before it throws the injector circuit code if there is a partial connection.

My car only threw the code when an injector became disconnected entirely. If all the wiring looks good, it's probably time to check out the injector itself.
