How do you tell what size injectors you have?

The best way is to look for numbers on them, either molded into the top plastic part, or laser etched on them. What color are they?

Post up a pic or any serial numbers you see on them, that would increase the chances that someone on here knows what they are.

Sounds like 450 injectors to me. They usually have the blue top right?

but the maft was setup on 550 i believe, but i just wanted to get the base right.

I have the MAFT and have been running the stock 450 injectors. Read the MAFT paperwork you can set the base injector size with one of the dashpots inside before you start with the low, Med, High rpm settings.

that doesnt neccessarily mean they are 450's.... i have 660's that are blue top also.

If you can find me a paper for a bailey 1.7 ill happily read it, ive read the 1.3 and the 2.0 and there completely different, ive turned the base back down to a lower number and it runs richer. I dont have a wot led on for some reason.

Stock 1G Turbos Have Blue Injectors.

Your Injectors are most likely Stock unless you know otherwise therefor they are probably what ever the stock output is.

ok heres the story. i bought the car with the maft and how it was set up, it was set on 550s, i turned it down to say 500s and it ran richer, i have no Wide Open Throttle mode. and cant find a damn thing about the bailey 1.7 translator. Im tired of hitting fuel cut but i dont really want to turn it off.

You can't turn off fuel cut with a MAFT regardless of what it says. That setting only can cap the airflow signal to the ECU and when it does that the ECU stops adding additional fuel to meet the demand. (Because it doesn't know there is additional demand)

Pull the injectors and see what they are. You might want to have new injector insulators (the rubber seal between the injector and head) on hand before you do in case the old ones are hard and don't seal the injector in the head when you put them back in. Short of looking at them there is not way to be 100% sure what you have. Take pictures in case they are non-standard and don't have the size stamped into the side of the connector.
