Indentifying 1g big rods.

I have a couple of sets of stock rods in the garage. My friend suggesting to see if they are big rods before I off them. My question is how the Do I tell if they are or aren't big rods.
I might have access to set of scalesi guess I could weigh them? I don't have any for a reference.

I searched for minute my friend hence why I had to ask I couldn't find shit. They all start with G though and they look like the one on the right.

Measure the width of the big end or just measure the wrist pin hole.

Also what are the number on the crown of the piston?

63DT piston has a 21mm wrist pin = 1g 6 bolt

63DTF1 piston has 22mm wrist pin = 2g 7 bolt

Thank you...now my question is is there a "standard" and "big rod" for 6 bolt? I know they are all six bolt. I can visually tell the difference those 7 bolt rods are dinks!

Basically all six bolt rods are "big rods"? Haha

Im confused on the standard part I just sold my rods and pistons, I only knew of 6 bolt turbo rods. Im under the impression there is just one 6 bolt rods, turbo, and non turbo rods. Dale may chime in and confirm this.

"Big rods" is an older term for 6-bolt rods.

All DSM 6-bolt rods are the same. All DSM 7-bolt rods are the same. The links above might help as well.

I was just wondering. I hear people throwing around the term BIG rods in their build like it is something special. I was under the impression they were all the same (6 bolt) till my buddy said see if those are big rods...Thanks guys!

You cannot go by piston number. I have 2 g pistons on my 6 bolt rods. This is a common upgrade, and with the age of these engines, this is always a possibility.
