Incomplete swap, what are my options?

I got what i thought was a 1991 GST eclipse.
I pulled out the computer serial MD166256 which searching brought me a Cali spec NA 2.0 ECU (is this correct?)
The harness is hacked to hell... but the car run, starts and moves, revving up not as fast as i thought, but solid overall. (grinding on the tranny but that i can figure out meself).

Now my questions is, what would be a better option? try to look up a new harness and 1G 4g63T ECU? How hard/expensive is to find these 2?
Or is there anyway i can downplay the enginge to make it match the NA ecu? NA injectors or something like that?
Scrap the hell out of it?

Opinions and feedback appreciated guys! :thumb:

Thnx for the reply...
I have read it quickly, to see what do i need.
Would it be to much of a hassle to use a 2G harness and ECU? i have a couple laying around.... (i am already searching for this in the forums but can find something)

Yeah it would be a total bi*** to do. 50 percent of the pigtails are different and would have to be swapped over. It is totally not worth even attempting. You would be way better off to just repair the harness that you already have.

Its not hard to do a swap from nt to turbo i did mine and had no clue of what i was doing a long time ago, its only a few wiring things to do. Lots of information on how to.

Yeah i agree wiring is a bi*** to do.... On my 95 i had plenty of shorts to worry about since the previous owner seemed to have just cut, twisted and blacktapped a new relay box in there (not even matching cable colors).

Im contemplating this solution since that's what i have laying in my backyard and to find an unmolsted 1g harness might be an interesting task to complete....

Another thing i could do is perhaps, cancelling the turbo completely and change to NA injectors to improve the current horrible milleage, while i find a pump, ecu and the damn harness... sounds correct?

Thnx for the help and opinions btw

Have you opened the ecu to verify it is a na ecu? I have seen eprom ecu in non eprom boxes and vica versa. Do that first just to make sure.

I might look into this...
Although i think it is, i accidentally dropped the intercooler and it didnt create the "blown coupler" effect on idle... and it runs somewhat weird when on boost, i don't know how to describe it, but very unlike the 2g...

nope, NA computer.... it also seems to have the pink injectors, can't confirm due to low light, but ill see... this is one hell of a hybrid mess...
