i filed my taxes early n i got a refund n i got it back yesterday. $250 (refund) + 400 ( i have ) = mods for my dsm hehe. I have 650$ disposable for my car n im tryin to figure out what i should do. I have CAI, Cat-Back Exhaust, No Cat, 4-1 Header...what comes next? Post opinions.. thanks

haha i have a friend who owns a machin shop so i can get my tb, intake manifold, and the head decked & milled cheap. So dont mention any of that LOL, cams hmm, what else?..............
 
Do you plan on using Forced induction? What are your plans (autoX, .25, daily driver, etc)?

Just follow the tuning guide, it will guide you.
 
daily driver n to have some fun hehehe, but i have been considering sellin her n getting a gs-t. im not decided tho...keep the info coming.

As for the tuning guide I am already going to have intake, header, exhaust, no cat, p&p intake manifold p&p tb, p*p cylinder head, cylinder head to be decked and milled (bore .20 over)

Whats left on the guide? Cam gears...?
Also, how much power should be pulling? THanks
 
Heres the tuning Guide, next to them is my response

Air Intake- have cai
Cat-back Exhaust- have
High Flow Cat- have
Exhaust Header- have 4-1
Bored-out Throttle Body-read aboe n see that i am doing this (not included on what i have to spend)
Ported Intake Manifold-read aboe n see that i am doing this (not included on what i have to spend)
Camshafts and Cam Gears-???
Underdrive Pulleys- not sure if i want to do beacuse of prob's reported on the main bearing rod
Cylinder Head Porting-read aboe n see that i am doing this (not included on what i have to spend)
Air/Fuel Controller-???
Ignition Timing Controller-???

My question was what else other than these things can i do? I was going to do some light bowl work, but that would be include in the cylinder head porting.....Maybe lifters, rockers? what else?? LOL please help

also what gains would i get?
 
Do what I'm going to do, dude, save up around $3K and get that hot ass 2.2 Liter stroker kit for Howell Automotive and have your local tuning shop or whatever install it. I haven't heard how much it'll benefit you as far as HP and LBS./FT., but "There Is No Replacement For Displacement."

Yes there is. We call it a whistle, snail, or turbo. For every multiple of atmosphere, you effectively increase the displacement of the engine by the equal multiple.:thumb:
