IM in Florida??

I am moving to Jacksonville, FL and need to know if they IM cars there. If so what years, and how strict is it?

What is IM? If you mean emissions testing, then the answer is no.

so no emmision checks at all? I have no cat, and with all the mods I have there is no way that i would ever pass. You don't have to have a check when you register your car or anything? When you renew your registration do you have to do anything then?

Thats awsome. I was really scared that I was going to have to sell my car just cuz I would have to IM in Florida.

Somebody told me that they did emmisions though in Jax, I am hoping that isn't true, as you say no emmisions=florida...

From what I understand, it is up to the individual counties. But I also heard that all the counties eventually got rid of it, some more recently than others. I can't speak for Jacksonville since I don't live there, but I would be surprised if they still do emissions.

I used to live in JVille area (orange park actually) and there is no emmisions testing.
