The transmission was stock before engine swap. Had no problems whatsoever.
I triple checked my tranny installation and I don't understand why it's grinding after a 6bolt swap with the kiggly kit.

What I did was:
I dremeled the kiggly flexplate holes so that it could bolt up to the engine and torqued it down to the TC. I made the torque converter sit flush on the tranny and torqued the tranny on.

*Notes:
-I did notice the MDP sensor wire looked similar to one of the connectors of the tranny, but i went with my instinct. The suspected MDP sensor cable wouldnt reach anyways. I used the 3 prong cable that comes out with the 02 sensor harness and has a yellow and 2 blacks.

-I'm not throwing any tranny codes on my dsmlink.

-The O/D light goes on and off when I press it when hte car is idling.

-Currently, I put about 5 qts of ATf in there.

What it is doing:
The tranny sounds like a loud rattle can on idle and won't engage any gears. The rattle/grinding isn't going up or down when I give it a rev, and it's slow in interval. but rather It's coming from where the torque converter is in the housing. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks :(

Was the torque converter dry or did it have fluid in it? Did you spline the conveter into the transmission properly?

I splined it properly. Now that I think of it, the tc was empty when I installed it. How many quarts does a completly empty transmission take?

Im not sure how many but it should be in your manual.

As long as the converter is dry, it is going to make a noise and the car wont move. You should always put at least 1 qt in a dry converter before installing it.

Yea, I didnt do that. I was wondering what you meant by splining the tranny before installation.

Thanks a lot
