ignition issue at idol temp

ok so i'm working on a 98 tsi awd

and i did some look up but came up with heating issues and ignition issues. no thred to link the two.

problem: car will start (when cold), drive and so on, then when the car reaches idol running temp and you turn the car off then when you go to turn the key the car wont turn over. the starter wont engage and all you can hear is the fuel pump prime

to my knowlage i beleave its a sencor? but im not possitive

There is no fuel pump prime on the 2g turbo until the CAS is spinning (the 2gNT has a prime though). The sound you hear is probably the IAC doing a recalibrate when key is turned on. The starter not operating has nothing to do heating or ignition. It only has the starter itself, a starter relay (which normally is always closed), ignition key, a clutch pedal position switch, and an alarm relay if you have the factory alarm. The starter relay opens (inhibits starter) only if the clutch pedal position switch says pedal is up or the factory alarm goes off.
