Gananoque,
I already have a fuel pump cut-off switch as a security device, but I want some added security. I know most big $$ alarm systems have an ignition disable with them so I figured why not wire up something to the ignition with a toggle switch and hide it somewhere under the dash. Now since my electrical knowledge is limited I figure I could get some help on this. I have no idea where the ignition wire is so if someone could guide me that would be great. Also if anyone has any other ideas similar to this, perhaps cut power to something else critical to starting the car.

Thanks:)

You could do something inventive with the clutch switch, since it already disables the starter by running straight to ground. I'll leave the detals to your devious mind.

Remember the principle of hiding in plain sight. ;)

Reminds me of the time a guy tried to steal my moms car. She kept her keys hidden in the center cupholder:rolleyes: and the guy was caught trying to use a screwdriver. BWHAHAHAHAAA!!

just unhook the battery and take ign switch fuse out then shut hood an walk away, your car aint going nowhere

^^
Rewire your fuel pump as per vfaq.com. But when you are out buying the connectors, wire, fuse and relay, also pick up a switch and wire it in.

go to hardware store... buy a toggle switch, and run the pump wire to the switch. and just hide the switch to ur liking, but car will i think run for a min... then fully die, and you dont want to turn swich off and let the engine die because i think that can lead to more problems. Or I could be wrong, havent tryed.

or buy a "club"? herd that thing actually works. or ... get a racing steering wheel and pop it off and walk off with the wheel in hand :thumb:

Just giving you my $.02

So long as the thief isn't bright enough to be able to work a pair of wire cutters, let alone a hacksaw.

^thats more of a park your car for a couple weeks security device. A flip of a switch thing inside the car, not the engine bay is what we want.

Hidden fuel pump switch is a good idea..quick, easy, and any thief would not expect to look there for security devices.
