One thing I have learned in my many many years and numerous builds... Buy a shell and build from scratch. You'll never be happier and you can do it for cheap, especially if you're building a 2G.

I would say that is probably the way to go if you are building a race car. But for most people on this forum buying a whole car is usually easier even though it might cost a bit more.

And starting with a shell takes time to build, I'm sure you know with your multiple builds you've had.

Nice looking car... and yes, rebuilding a car from the ground up is time consuming..... and by time it gets done nickle and dimeing you to death, you'll probably spend about the same amount. The difference is on a rebuild you KNOW EXACTLY what's been done!

The teardown and rebuild of my blue car took a year and half. Now working on the bugs..

Exactly (egggggggg zactly) I brought a 1g and a 2g shell. 1g fwd tho both are going to be a beast.

I'd build my own also. That way you know everything was done right and not Mickey Moused by someone else!! Then if something does brake or fail, you can't blame anyone but yourself.

Idle was high because the pic was taken from a cold start....u can tell by looking at the temp gauge.

Buying a shell can be a hassle too, it just depends. He may be running stock boost on the 16G as well, who knows though. I'm not sure about the turbo xs B.O.V, my buddie's absolutely sucked. Doesn't say anything about a fuel pump either which is kind of suspect. Kind of makes you wonder when people buy turbos and whatnot before really anything else.
