So, I bought a 96 Spyder GST and want to do an AWD swap. I am looking for advice on which pieces to put on. I have a salvage yard in Philly and was looking for a parts car only to find out that the crash books list 95-96 as similar parts for the 96 Spyder and 97-99 as different.
Before I buy a parts car I wanted to know what year AWD Talon/Eclispe to buy. I did buy a 95 Talon TSI from a member of this forum but the trans was cracked and 2 axles were missing. So now I am back to square one and want to make sure I do it right.
I do plan on dropping in a 6 bolt, but my main questions right now are:
1. Which would be the best AWD trans and transfer case? Would a 97-99 be better?
2. Which rear diff should I hang? Again, it lists 97-99 as different. I assume I should use a locking one.
Thanks again to all for any help..
