When I start my car, It idles at about 500 rpms. If I dont give it gas, it will die. It does not matter if my car is warmed up or not. After about a minute of running this way the rpms will rise to about, 1500. Then it will drop to 1000, and keep doing that over and over. Whats up with this?

Also. I dont know if i should make another thread for this or not. But when i dump the clutch. The car will jump foward then stop... Then it will take off.. Am I doing something wrong or that the car?

First, pull the codes and post them for us to see.
You may have a bad idle speed control motor as these do go bad.
Check your idle stop switch to make sure it's adjusted properly and at least is hooked up.
You will need a service manual for this.

Sometimes, but not always the caps in the pcm can go bad and they always seem to go for the idle circuit. Pull the pcm and check those famous capacitors for leakage on the board.

Post your findings and let us know what you found

Good Luck

It doesn't help matter any that some engineer decided to route one of the ISC traces right under one of the caps that leaks. :)

yup...ill bet a dime to a dollar you have ECU problems. mine was doing the exact same thing (1000-1500 idle) and i went thru all the recommended fixes from here and also the vfaq...turned out i had a leaky ECU that reared its ugly head when i sent it off to get socketed for the DSMlink...cost me an additional hundred clams but she purrs like a kitten now :D

Ok so are you saying its the ECU or ISA?

I dump the clutch at about 3,500 rpms when i am racing. Is that a bad idead or what?

ya you squeeze off the clutch and not let it off fast. thats why it jerks forward. its not a FWD car.
as far as the idle goes. thats called "idle surge". there are many possible causes and fixes for this problem. I am currently working on fixing mine.
Look at the idle air control valve - might be going bad
BISS - its the base idle control screw, in your throttle body. Could be leaking
It could also be your vaccum lines. spray them with some carb cleaner or a water bottle and check for bubles comming out somewhere. replace the line and check your progress. good luck man.
P.S. - Try not "racing" your car so often. As its old and needs love too. thx.
