I know there are numerous threads out there, but none seem to relate to exactly what I am looking for, so here goes...

I am getting idle surge after the car warms up. I did a boost leak test, cleaned the ISC motor and all that and am still getting surge, in fact it was even worse after tinkering with the stepper motor. My question is, I am getting 41.5 ohms across all of the pins on the connector for the motor. Is this thing shot? I hear 33 ohms is the max. Has anyone had similar reading and replaced the motor and fixed the idle surge?

Thanks in Advance

sounds like your ISC is gone. Look on ebay or the classifieds on here. Oh and another way to test it and have a buddy with ya is to take it out of the TB, and leave the plug in it. Have your friend turn the key but don't crank it but put the key in the ON position. Stay under the hood and when he turns it on the ISC motor will cycle in and out. If it stays there and vibrates then its dead most likely but with a bad coil its not gonna work.

ok, i finally go the time to pull this thing out and I had my brother cycle the ignition. It goes in and out ok, but it vibrates and almost buzzes, is this normal for these things. I tested the resistance and it was 42 ohms at the worst coil. Should I go get a new one?
