I just put my car (97 TSi) back together after an engine rebuild and I'm having a problem keeping it from stalling. When I come to a stop the RPM drops below the 1000 RPM I set in ECMLink V2 and just dies. The cars starts right back up and will idle at 1000 RPM just not when I take my foot off the gas at a higher RPM.

Everything else works great, god I love have the car back after more than 2 years. I do think I have a small vacuum leak somewhere because I get a hi pitched sound when I let up on the gas but have good vacuum and boost readings.

I have two parts that I found after I got the car running that I hope someone can tell me where they go. See link for pictures.

Click on the left hand picture to see the whole vacuum hose.

Thanks for the help.

that pin isnt ringing any bells but the hose looks like it could be the valve cover breather hose. do you have a filter on the valve cover? if so is the vacuum port capped on the intake?
