so i finally got my 6bolt on the road...
When its cold the idle is low and i gotta pump the as a couple times to get it to idle..
it idles alright, until it warms up, then it wants to idle around 1500 rpm's.. Any guess's on what this could be? i keep messing with the idle set screw, and it feels like its really easy to turn so i thought it could be rattling loose.. i dont really think thats it though.
Thanks fella's

hah, what can i say, im a noob!! never had a dsm before, just dodge rams.. \\

would a vacuum leak cause it to idle low when cold and high when hot? i know it has a vac leak somewhere, because the idle goes up and down slightly ( like 100rpms if that)
also now that its all outta wack. what should the biss? is it? screw be set at?

like I said im a noob, ive read millions of forums already, just not the right ones apparently

Idle issues can come from plenty of places, I would definitely try to fix any and all vac/boost leaks. I was having the same issues on my 1g and was from a major boost leak. Also, are you venting your BoV? that could be another source of the issue if you dont have a proper tune on it

If it idles really low, then eventually gets perfect, then, as it is driven, starts to rise to around 1500, you could have a FIAV.

the idle shoots up to around 2500 after driving it for a while... i dont what it could be, besides that i have ran into another problem now... no good. thanks though guys

Id do a blt and get after vac leaks, do you have any codes comin up? They deff are finicky rides and with all the pple moddin em you reallly gotta stay on top of any problems and keep em tip top an even still they bite ya dont give up on it there well worth a few headaches along the way

I'm new to this forum and for any forum in particular. I just bought me a 95 Eclipse GSX with 7 bolt 2G 4G63 engine. My problem is exactly the same as foxracing 2216, i tried cleaning the IAC and change the ECU/PRM and nothing has change. My skill in fixing or tuning is very limited, I'm a mechanic dependent at this time. I'd love to learn and do my own fixing and tuning in the future. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.
