So I took my OEM brown ISC out and found an open between pin 5-6 so I ordered a Rock Auto replacement. Tested for opens or shorts on the new one and was good, after install it would idle very high (1500-1700) and does not drop even after a drive. I have messed with the BISS and have it all the way in( BISS does increase idle when threaded out) and have ECMLink setting the target idle to 750rpm, any idea on why it will not drop.

Vacuum leak??? Have you done a boost leak test? If not i would start with this and fix any leaks found, especial any big leaks.

Too many variables for us to feed you, start here, then get back with we cant guess whats wrong with it.

It is my understanding there is a special tool needed to adjust the Biss screw, so I am wondering how you did this or do you have the tool? Without the tool, they say to screw it in all the way and then two complete turns back out. It's a matter of trial and error.

Hes using ECMLink, but only mentions using it to set the base idle. Maybe his ISC position wasnt set to 144 before turning the screw? THat happened to me last week when I put a new biss screw in.. . The ISC was 157 and turning the screw wasnt doing much of anything, so disconnected the battery returning it back to 144 and then set it from there.

But all that would probably be irrelevant if he had problems previous to the swap and it was masking that he also has a vacuum leak.. Then trying to even set the BISS wouldnt be accurate. He needs to provide more information about exactly what he did and didnt do when it comes to the questions that Mello and Steve are asking

Sorry all for the lack of information, I initially removed my ISC because I would never have a higher idle while cold starting, took it out and found an open between pin 5-6, before that I could get a semi steady idle around 800 with just BISS adjustments but I felt it would be best to just fix the problem. Prior to this I do not believe to have had any major boost leaks, I had a pretty DIY set up so can't be 100% sure. I did replace the o ring, but it probably wouldn't hurt to double check it didn't fold over itself. TB, FIAV and Cruse cable should not have changed and I wouldn't assume it to be a problem. I am very new to ECMLink and couldn't find a way to display any ISC values on the datalogging so that might be the best place to start if someone could explain that.
