well my 1g is idling funny but only when i come to a stop it fluctuates between 1-2000 rpm for a few seconds and then idles fine at 900rpm and all this started after i put a new ecm in :hmm:

You might try performing the basic TPS, BISS, and timing adjustments before shelling-out any money. Plus, the new ecu will take a few miles to learn all the individual settings to match your adjustments.

Base Timing Adjustment

1G BISS Adjustment

TPS Adjustment

You need to do it in the right order: Get idle to 750, set timing, re-check idle, set TPS, set BISS. Then be patient. The ecu needs a little time to realize things have changed.

I would go through the idle relearn procedure. I swapped ecus recently and it surged a bit. I have a rebuilt throttle body and a new isc, so I knew it wasnt that. So when I swapped in the new ecu and it had idle problems I went thru the idle relearn procedure and it idles just fine now right where it needs to be! Hope you figure it out!
