I have a 97 eclipse gs spyder with a 6 bolt swap. I have been having idle issues my car starts and idles rough for about 30 seconds and then stalls. It will start right back up again with no problems but the same thing will happen. I have no ISC plug. I replaced the turbo because it was seized and my bintercooler because it had a crack in it. For some odd reason I can start the car with and without the MAS plug in and it will do the same thing. Also can anyone tell me what this plug is?

The plug is coming from a random harness it could be a leftover from the 6 bolt swap. How do I set my base ignition timing? Does anyone think it has anything to do with the mass airflow sensor? Or because I dont have an ISC plug?

I think you need to spend more time with the search button (not being a dick, completely serious).

vfaq.com > engine > adjust ignition timing 2G.

I recall the MAF plug having 8 pins, but it's been a while; but yes, having an unregistered MAF will cause that exact same problem.

Can you pull the harness/plug out a bit more and identify or take a picture of where it connects on the harness? it will give us a better idea of what that plug is for.

I think it could be the Mass airflow sensor harness for a 1g. t is coming from a large wire loom going going around and near the throttle body and the fuel injectors.
