my car was in the shop coz of crankwalk. the pistons was changed to arias 8.6:1 .030 overbore, rods are now eagle h beams, a different used crank shaft was re-surfaced and polished. while the car in the shop, a topspeed downpipe was installed eliminating the cat. now at idle the rpm goes up to about 1500rpm then drops to about 900rpm, then shoots up again and back down. sometimes it even shuts down when the rpm gets too low. my CEL is on ever since i got the car back 2 days ago. the problem goes away when the car is already hot. is it because of the oversized pistons or is it the the eliminated cat? i still have about 800 miles to go to complete the engine break-in.
