Idle Help!!!!

Hey everyone here it is.....my car usually idles at like 1200, but when its cold it will jump from 1200-1800 constantly, and tonight I started her up and it just went to 5k?? I was like wtf, so I turned it off, and started it and same thing, whats going on....When I put it in first and go its fine, just the idle let me know thanks I"ll be up all night on AIM as zackyekrahs thanks

Check your throttle cables and check the pedal to be sure it's not sticking. Another possibility is that your FIAV could be bad or your high idle switch is not connected. It normally shouldn't ever go to 5k with the switch not connected but I would definitely check it out.

Seroisly it was the dumbest thing wrong with my car......good thing you told me to check the throttle cable becuase I did and nothing seemed wrong and I looked up a bit and I noticed a tube from the throttle body was stuck in between like the throttle sylinoid and this metal clip thing, so everytime I accelerate it would stick, and thats why I wasn't idleing good, now it idles at 1200 perfectly, thanks for your help!!

No problem. It usually is something small with these cars.

Unless you have DSMlink or a custom EPROM chip you need to fix your idle so that it's 750 RPM. Otherside your ISC isn't going to work. The ECU will close the ISC trying to make the car idle at 750. The only way it will go higher is by driving the ISC out of range.
