Idle changes with load on motor

I have been working on my idle issues for the past hour. I paid more attention to the idle today and found out that its been idling around 700-800rpm with no load on the motor when I turned on the AC it dropped to 500. I then shut the car off and unplugged the Idle Air Control harness started the car up adjust the idle screw and the idle went up to 1200rpm I then shut the car down and plugged the harness back in started the car again and it was idling at 1000 with no load on the motor I turned the AC on and it again dropped to 500rpms. I did some research and what I found was this Mitsubishi Repair: Low idle and stalling, mitsubishi eclipse, electrical load the car does not stall but comes close to it so I believe this is my issue but I am unsure as to whether I need to replace the harness or the idle air control valve could someone explain this to me so I know what to do to fix my issue

I would test the sensors on your throttle body and make sure your biss is adjusted properly via dsmlink instructions. What kind of tuning do u have?

You need to remove the IAC and clean it I had the same problem with my eclipse there was condensation where the IAC was clean that out with some brake clean also cleaned sensor worked good as new I would try that first before you go spending money blindly

Ok thanks guys this issue has been bugging me its an all stock 1.8 that I just wanna get running right. Won't be doing any mods til I have money to spare

Ok so I pulled my IAC today and this is what it looks like is this normal??

If you haven't done so, remove and clean your throttle body, that will help your idle.

I'm actually in the process of removing it now but all the hoses are like glued to it and i can't get them off

Use WD-40 on hoses. Helps break them loose and will help them go back on easier. After WD-40 dries it's no longer slippery so hoses won't slide back off.

I ended up just tearing the hoses I have money to throw into hoses its no big deal. Cleaning the throttle body now it definitely had some carbon build up and I'm betting the fuel filter is partially to blame. From the maintenance records I got after buying it, they say it was supposed to be changed back in 03 this little 1.8 will be the death of me and even then it won't be fast!

So I cleaned out my throttle body and I bought a new idle air control connector from oreillys wondering how you guys thing my throttle body looks? My oil pump should be coming in tomorrow and I would like to have the eclipse running by monday

Also what are the 2 hoses on the bottom of the throttle body? I'm going to replace them since they were dryrotted

Looks like you only partly disassembled your IAC. You need to remove the whole assembly and clean inside the throttle body air passage.

Only image I could find was a sale on ebay.

Looks like you only partly disassembled your IAC. You need to remove the whole assembly and clean inside the throttle body air passage.

I actually realized this after I did it but the screws are in there so tight I'm hoping to break them out with some PB blaster or WD40. Would anyone be able to tell me what the 2 hoses on the bottom of the throttle body are for?
