Identifying Turbo Manual Tranmission

Hi all!

I'm going out tomorrow to pick up a Turbo Manual Transmission for my 2G. I totally believe the guy I'm picking it up from, but what are some identifiers I should look for that would prove its a FWD Turbo Manual Transmission and not a N/a Manual Transmission?

Turbo transmission is f5m33-xxxx. The xxxx letters will tell you what it came out of. Not all f5m33 came from dsm. Bellhousing should be obvious if you know what they look like.

As Paul said, if you don't know visual differences, the F5M3#... alphanumeric code will provide you with a sure-fire way of identifying it.

That's exactly what I needed. Thank you pauleyman and 19Eclipse90. I had a 1G for several years, sold it, got into the Honda world, wised up and came back to Mitsubishi. I have a rust-free shell that we're building from the ground up. Should be fun!
