im having trouble shifting to 1st and reverse sometimes, not always, it grinds a little and then it gets it right after playing with it a while :/ im planing in changing the shifter base bushings, shifter linkage bushings and the transmission gear oil this week, i live in a very hot area and now summer is coming, my question is: what viscosity do you recommend for me? MT-90 75W90 GL-4? or MT-85 75W85 GL-4? and in engine oil what viscosity because i used 10w30 synthetic last time and my oil drops to 6 to 10 psi when is hot :/

Before you do anything else, check that your clutch is adjusted properly. Clutch drag (clutch not fully disengaged) will kill your synchros faster than anything and will give you symptoms like hard to get in gear (or out) and grinding, or an actual shudder when you force it into gear. Got to Jack's Transmissions site for great information on this.

Jacks website says only gl4 75-90 gear oil. If shift linkage adjustments and primimg the master/slave does nothing its clutch drag I just resolved this problem in my own car by shimming the fulcrum pivot of the release fork. IT WORKED i never thought my car could shift this smoothly without a trans rebuild. Btw the clutch drag test on jack site does not always work even if you are dragging.
