can some one tell me how i can id 90 ecu ? is it eprom or no?

Eproms have a open expansion slot. This one does not.


Also after looking at the board a bit more it looks like you have some residue. I can't tell if it is just the picture or not but you should inspect it and clean it up if you know how.

huh? that is a eprom

i think u have it the other way around non-eprom have the open slot

Not on a DSM, perhaps your thinking about a Honda ECU. As the other guys correctly stated the OP has a 90 MD145903 EPROM ECU. The E742 software was only used on that version.

This ECU has been worked on by one of the "professional" rebuilders and had it's caps changed, poorly. This one place seems to use an an acis brush and solvent to remove or push around the conformal coating as part of their "repairs" and then sprays a new coating but doesn't ever seem to clean the board before trapping the electrolyte left over and dirt under it. I've seen a lot of them over the years when they later fail because of the cheap repairs they do.
