General IAT bung

Question regarding the weld on bung, no one in my area can weld to aluminum would it be ok to tap the elbow? Or would that affect the sensor? Sorry I don't know if this is in the right thread section I figured it be under engine management

Pat, I know what your saying but I don't know if it would hold any amount of boost. The tubing is real thin. My welder does mine for a 20 or 3 for 50 just as a comparison.

Yeah that's what I was worried about I know tigging is the best method to use but up here barely anyone welds, I'm in the sticks .

Then drive out of the styx and have it done.
