im going to have my IAT bung welded in today. but first i need to drill the hole and have it ready for welding. question is how should i do this. does the bung go half way in? does it sit on outside of pipe? what size hole do i drill? some of these questions maybe answered when i get home and get my kit but i do not have an internet connection there so if its not in the instructions ill be screwed and have to guess. any help on this would be great. i only have about another hour of work left thanks.

The thread on the bung is 3/8" NPT. Drill a 5/8" (.625") hole and weld the bung centered over the top of the hole (yes, sitting on the outside of the pipe). :thumb:

EDIT: If your particular bung is stepped, then you'll want to match the hole size to the diameter of the step.

sweet. thanks man
