I never guessed that would be what broke. It sheared off just inside the inner lip of the compressor bearing. When I got it home and took off the center section and compressor housing, I noticed that the entire turbine wheel and remaining shaft was totally missing. The only evidence it was ever there was that it mangled up my 02 sensor on the way through the exhaust.
Some things to note, I missed third gear and it seemed to break after I got it into third. I had safety wired the wastegate shut and was spiking to 27 then falling to 20. I was using "no lift to shift" with DSMLink. Oh, yeah, it took 8 quarts of oil to get me home. I was a huge freight train on the freeway.
Is this common, or has this happened to anyone else? Could a slow-opening/modified 1g BOV have helped cause this damage?
Thanks,
-Jesse

My DsM Is SoOo UnReLiAbLe, What did I do wrong"
This has turned into quite the bashing thread. I asked: Is this common, or has this happened to anyone else? Could a slow-opening/modified 1g BOV have helped cause this damage? What about some input on this instead of concentrating on telling me what you think of me.
Buy a 16g and at 16psi it will be faster and healthier than that setup. I gotta give you props though, you my friend have some testicular fortitude.
and i thought that was alot. But that was when i was fiddling with the mbc cuz i just repalced that ### 2gn bov boo on that plastic pita. So i had to figure out how to get the mbc just right for 14psi.
