I think the bottom end is bad!!!

Alright I have come across two 2g gst's for dirt cheap. The one had a good(????)motor the other a good trans. So I put the two together. Now it starts up and idle's fine. I let it run for aout 15 mins. Then tried to rev it up. It revs up to about 3k rpms then bogs its self back down and it makes a CRAZY whining sound-not hissing (kinda sounds like from the turbo) when you try to rev it fast. If i slowly rev it still wont go past 3k and it dosnt make the whining sound. Its a 2g with a 14b on it. I have no previous use of either the motor or turbo to know if either are good or bad. The turbo has very little shaft play and seems to spin fine. I held the UICP (stock) and the turbo is pressurizing the piping. Compression check 180 across. But the pulgs were stright black. Any body got any idea on what might be off. Also it seemed to keep smoking and not fade off when it warmed up ( its cold as crap out).

with it turning the plugs black it sounds as if it might be flooding itself out at 3000rpm's. You might want to check out the fuel system or maybe there is somthing preventing enough air into the motor.

Well I rechecked the 14b and it had no "in-n-out" shaft play, but the sideways was pretty bad. The housing had scraches where it loked like the compressor wheel was binding against it. So I just swaped back on the t25.........to sleepy to finish. Putting the oil return and exhaust back up and starting it again tommorow.

Alright found the main problems. The kid before had an acf and just cut it out. Fixed the mass air wires. And the turbo was the main noise. But the water pump is gone, so doing full timing job tommorow.-anybody want to buy a 95 fwd eclipse-fidenza flywheel, new tires, w/timing job done 5g's
