I think my rad coolant temp sensor is out

i have done a little research and i havent found a conclusive answer.. when i start it, it seems like it doesnt idle right untill it gets up to temp but when i am in traffic or stopped it overheats the fan doesnt kick on i think.. does that mean that the sensor is out? and if so is there a way to just have the fan on all the time untill i can fix it?

Wire the fan to a switch, replace sensor if its in doubt

i acctually just looked around for it and found out its just unplugged.. now everything seems to work fine .. thanks alot tho
