I just opened my new S256 from Bullseye and I was putting the O2 housing on and I spun the compressor wheel. It spun freely but when I grabbed it and moved it side to side there was noticeable movement. I can not move it enough to touch the housing but it is damn close. This is my first new turbo and I was not sure if that was acceptable and when oil was pushed through it the play would go away or if the bearings are just bad. I am not sure I need some advice...

Also the oil drain bolts are different size than the PTE 50 trim that I pulled off does anyone know the correct size of the bolts for the Bullseye turbo? I was wanting to put this thing on tommorow but I need some help first.

These are the best photos I could get for now. But you can see the difference in the bottom fin. Let me know what you guys think..

The brand new turbos have no oil on/in the bearings so there is more play than with a used turbo.

Once you get some oil in it should be fine.

That is what I was thinking but I wanted to make sure before I put it in and fried it. Do I need to put oil directly in the turbo when I install it or will the feed lines put enough in it first time I crank it?

Now I just have to find some drain tube bolts and I'll be ready to put this thing on tom. Figure I'll try Autozone or a speed shop to find them.

Does anyone know the size of the oil drain bolts for a bullseye turbo? If not I'll just take the turbo to the store with me, but I would rather not do that.

OK, I got the drain bolts today and attempted to install my turbo. I noticed that the oil feed needs a flange type connector and my old 50 trim I had the stainless line going to the center threaded hole. So now I have to find the right oil feed for the bullseye. Also I stripped out one of my bolts and got another one stuck. I am going to take it to work on Monday and have our machinist get the bolt out and try and repair the other hole. It seemed like everything that could go wrong did. Also I have to get a slim fan for that side now. The stock fan is way to big.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me as far as oil feed, thread repair, or fan to use. Thanks guys

Well Bullseye responded to my email and they are going to send me a feed flange. I am guessing the Mitsu dealership may have the turbo bolts or they can get them for me. Hopefully I can get this thing together b/c eclipsegsx1736 is coming down next weekend to tune. I hope I can get everything together Beau.
