i own a 99 eclipse spyder gs with the 2.4l. what i really need to know quickly is if a transmission from a 02 03 eclipse 2.4l will fit. it looks like the same motor with a few parts in different spots so i wanted to double check. i finally found a transmission at a good price so i dont want to let it slip away from me. so if anyone has the answer please let me know

I've been having the same problems looking for a tranny for my gst n the best advice I got was get the numbers off the plate like mine was kf5m332spt n I see a bunch of trans that look like it but the bell housing is dif cause the 95-99 turbo fwd uses a 33 style trans but a 31 style bellhousing it thrown me for a loop but finally found one. S people can give u dif advice I would just check the numbers if they match then u can use if they don't it may still work but may need dif axles n other things for it. Hopefully that helps out alittle bit for u since u haven't got an answer yet from the other members......

they are? i only ask because ive looked on a couple different websites, and they say its the same part number...maybe they r wrong im not sure, is there anywhere i can look up the part numbers and compare and its a, i guess verified website?
