I Need Info Tranny Help Asap !!!!!

OK HERE IS THE STORY MY CLUTCH PEDAL STAYED DOWN AFTER IT WAS GIVING ME PROBLEMS FOR A FEW WEEKS. I CHANGED THE SLAVE CYLINDER AND THATS WHAT IT WAS.... BUT RIGHT AFTER WE PUT IT ON..... SECOND GEAR WAS GRINDING LIKE CRAZY...WEATHER I PUT IT IN SLOWLY OR FAST DOESNT MATTER IT GRINDS THEN POPS IN..... DO I NEED A WHOLE REBUILD, SHOULD I JUS GET ANOTHER TRANNY OR IS IT MY CLUTCH PLEASE HELP!!!!! BUDGET SUCKS

i would do a rebild if you get anothe one who knows what shape it will be in

shep has some parts you can also buy from him as well it may also not the transmission did you bleed the system really good? you may also need a master cyclinder as well

Check if your master cylinder is leaking and also check the fluid level and see if it goes down after pressing in the clutch a couple of times. Also, make sure you bleed the clutch line properly.

thanks for the info i bled the system twice ill look at the master cylinder again

Good. You should know if the master cylinder is leaking. It is pretty easy to see a small patch of brake fluid on the carpet. Also, not the brake fluid level and pump the peddle a couple of times and see if it dropped.

1st thing, poor 2nd gear synchros are common in these cars, if the lines are bled and all cylinders check out, try swapping out the fluid for some royal purple. it's been known to help alleviate 2nd gear grind issues..

and although i doubt it, throwout bearings have been known to display symptoms like that...
