what kind of fabrication is needed to swap 420a to a 4g63t. i have a few ideas and one is to buy a GS with a blown motor and swap a 4g63t fwd into it or just buy a used 420a but i dont know where to get one and how much they cost. does anyone know anything about everything i asked

i think there's like an old school thread about this and i think it requires massive fabrication escpecially the motor mounts..... but if you have endless amounts of cash to spend then it wouldn't be hard... hell in one of my magazines there's a 1990 chevrolet beretta powered by a 6 bolt 4g63 :coy:

what would it cost to turbo a 420a. what would it need to do what kind of mods?

depends..

if you piece together your own turbo kit it's cheaper.. but you'd have to do a lot more research and get some custom fab parts (maybe) but you do get to pick what you want..

or you can buy a turbo kit from hahn racecraft or CI motorsports and it comes with everything you need but the price is not cheap..

for me i pieced my own together.. i got a manifold custom made for me on ebay with the t25 flange.. because my cousin gave me his old turbo off his 1999 gsx which i used for that..
and i had to get a custom downpipe made too..
I think there is a write up techy on here for making your own stage II turbo kit for under 1500~

what internal mods do you need to do

Guy, you need to try using the search. All of these questions have been answered and are easily found.

In answer to your question no, you don't have to build. There are plenty of us who are turbo'd on our stock motor. Eventually it will need a rebuild.
