my buddy has a 94 firebird 3.4 5spd trys telling me all these stories about them 3.4's murdering turbo dsm's i wanna know how many (experiences) or (unexperiences that you have seen or heard of) people prove him wrong because i do

plus 1! My buddy had a 2002 V6 Mustang that had dual exhaust, Shaker hood, lowered, "rear seat delete"=LAME! when the guy before him had nitrous on it(not on it when we "raced", it was dynod at 205. He wanted to race me in my 91 talon Tsi Fwd. I didnt even know we were racing. he was behind me and put on his turn signal so I pulled over thinking something was wrong with my car(it is a DSM ) Then he pulls in front and turns down a curvy hilly road and floors it in the turn and takes off. So I decieded to keep up. I was in 2nd gear and dropped to first through the left hand curve and stayed in my lane(he dropped low) he was about 150 feet infront of me before i figured out what he was doing. I floored it through the gears and before i hit 4th gear I was on his ass going over hills. I put it in 5th and was crusing behind him at 115. my front end lifted up a little bit and my car wobbled so I slowed down to the speed limit. We get to the stop sign and says man thats fast. I reashurred him i wasnt even trying. 3 days later he tells everone he kicked my ass. I laughed in his face.
He sold it 3 months later for an 84 capri 5.0. Said he could beat me again...so we raced and I ripped him a new one by about 2.5 car lengths.

Im running a ported 14b with a few bolt on mods. exhaust manifold and o2 are ported with a 2. 5" turbo back straight pipe exhaust. still stock woulda still beat him in the mustang. ok thats my story...hope people get humor in it. my cars broke down now and in a ton of pieces...also ripped on a 2002 v6 eclipse with a cold air intake "performance chip" and fart can.

Is your friend serious? Barring a turbokit that youre unaware of,or SERIOUS mods. That T/A is a heavy slow ass junkbox. You should go walk on him just to put him in his place,or find a local DSMer to do the trick. Like earlier stated,a stock good running DSM should have no problem stretching him

now they are some stories i love and i will have to laugh at him and the whole mustang story he thinks mustangs are junk too even tho when his uncle gets his 86 foxbody hatchback,351 win. raced out,racing suspension,4 barrel holly 750 double pumper that mustang will tear his firebird apart

maybe if it was swapped for a turbo or supercharged ws6, and then maybe... that is once nice car though.. the ws6 6 speed with twins
