I need a 1g guy to help me figure this out, what is it?

So i am stripping a wiring harness from a 91 tsi awd. I am removing the entire harness from the car to include the interior. Not sure if i need it for the swap im doing but why not right?? So any way i followed the interior harness to the drivers side rear and there is a module that has been painted over and i cannot tell what it is. I am thinking body control module but does anyone know what those computers are for in either side in the rear panels under the windows. Thanks !!!

If I remember right, when I was removing my automatic seatbelts... They both tied into either box respectively.... I would assume they are the controllers for the seatbelts....

Cool. I am also thinking it has the windows and locks in it. There is a small harness and a relay going to the sunroof from it
