It is probably a knock off....if it is a genuine MHI, I would be stupidly surprised that it was sold for only $50. I didn't even buy my rebuilt GT Concepts one from turbochargers.com for $50....it was a damn good turbo, but cost $300

Well be prepared to be stupidly surprised, MHI EVO3 B16G serial number is 49178-01470. When i saw the add on craigslist i figured it was an ebay chinese gt turbo crap thing. But its not, dude didn't know what kind of turbo it was, he said "it came off of my 1997 eclipse, but i upgraded the turbo and now i don't need this one". So i bought it before he changed his mind.....He even delivered it. I will post pics for the non believers

I got one off Craigslist too, and got a crazy good deal on it. Same deal where the kid didnt know what it was. I paid $80 for mine that needed a rebuild but it was an MHI B16G, and I checked the numbers because I figured it was a small 16G, but it wasn't But then when I was tearing it apart to rebuild it, I saw a stamp on the top of the hotside. So I cleaned it up and come to find out it had an FP hotside on it too. I was pretty stoked
