ok i bought an autometer air/fuel guage a while ago and i know it really does nothing but at the time i thought it was "cool"...anyway its just problems and i am returning it again to autometer for another one that this time i plan on just selling...

here is the question... What guage should i get that has some importance but not too expensive...i was thinking about an oil pressure gauge? wide band and egt would be too expensive, egt because i would have to get my exhaust manifold tapped into

again...

What gauge should i get?

sell the a/f, save up for an EGT or better yet, wideband.

I've heard EGT gauges are important to have... It lets you see how hot your exhaust temps are, I guess that's pretty important when tuning your car

The EGT is nice to have when tuning as is an extra bit of safety (when used correctly) to ensure you're not running overly rich/lean. Especially nice since it's standalone you can use without the laptop/Palm datalogging.

Unfortunately, it's one of those things you can't readily use while driving (safely) so unless it has a logging feature, peak/hold or a warning light (like my Greedy does).. won't get as much use.
