I need an opinion!

I need some opinions from the real experienced guys, I have a 6 bolt complete engine. I also have a 2g head completely ready to go should I just use the 6 bolt engine the way it is or should i go ahead and put the 2g head and intake on. and if i go that route will i be able to put the crank sensor from the 7 bolt on the 6 bolt i have not pulled the 7 bolt out all the way yet. I am just wondering, cause i can do the 1g CAS sensor mod but is there a way to cancel out the misfire code without using the pot mod. I have heard that is not a good way to do it.

basically I need opinions and info on what you guys have personally done with this case. car is a 98 gst the engine is bad, and i got a 6 bolt for 200 bucks and I heard and seen it running before i bought it. so it is in condition to go back in a car. this will be my first engine swap so i need some info please.

Honestly i would just stick with the direct 6 bolt. From what i have seen the 7 bolt head doesn't flow that much better then the 6 bolt head and its not worth the trouble to put the 7 bolt head on. Thats just my .02

ok guys that is what i was thinking to I just have a really nice done 2g head that i wont be able to use now, guess i will post it up on the classifieds then.

The 2G head doesn't FLOW any better. However, it does get a better VELOCITY. This extra velocity aids in mixing the air and fuel, which aids in combustion. However, the 2G head has to be drilled to a 12mm hole for the head bolts to fit.
