I have a question on taking apart headlights

i read the guide on how to unfog your headlights, but when i use the heat gun, it is melting the plastic housing along with the glue. and whenever i try pulling them apart it ruins the plastic housing. any suggestions on this?

Do not use a heat gun. They get waaaay to hot.


Do the oven thing. Then use a piece of hard plastic to seperate the 2 pieces. A screwdriver might cratch or chip it.

Yes, use an oven...I pulled mine apart with my hands. It comes apart easily

Yes, if he has a buddy helping him.

FWIW, let your buddy hold the housing while you work the Heat Gun.
