I have found a beautiful Galant for sale near where i live! It is built and I plan on daily driving it. Here is the link: 91 Galant VR4 Cleanest GVR4 around! MINT & BUILT trade

Im just wondering would it be a bad idea to daily this car? i will only be going 100 miles max each day. Maybe only 20 each day. im very good at doing maintenance and what not. And only take it to the track every once and awhile. Im only wondering if it is a good option or should i look for something else?

For DD duties, I'd say no. I too was in a position to do that, but living in a salted winter zone, I decided not to. Hopefully the person that does buy it uses it properly and keeps it off the salted streets.

I say do it!! It's gorgeous.. I dd a 373awhp Evo every day, swapping turbos out this winter and going for 450, and I'll still DD it every day! (Doing a 2.4LR build though this winter as well). My vote is yes :)

Well i would take care of it really well. and yeah i want a car that makes good hp and also is reliable and take it to the track! he wants 5500 for the car. In the summer i washed my car every two days. It wasnt a beauty of a car but was very clean inside and out. i would be proud to be the owner of the galant. Im not a person who beats the hell out of my vehicles.

Clean....maybe I should give this guy a call....:D J/K....with AMS parts, the guy probably wants more than I'd be willing to spend. EDIT: $5500 is probably a steal assuming there are no hidden problems (ie rusty shock towers, bad wheel bearings, etc)

It really depends on what your looking for and what you consider daily driveable.. I DD my car which has a slightly bigger turbo (BEP S262) and is stroked to a 2.3L. I know about 75% of the people here would not DD my car though, no power steering, no AC, KSport coilovers ride incredibly rough, open downpipe (car is very loud inside), etc.. I put average a little over 300 miles on my car a week. Some days I only drive it 20 miles, other days I drive 200 miles. If you have the money, and it's exactly what you are wanting then do it. But he probably wants a nice chunk of change for it. Find out why he's selling it though. Look it over very closely. Make sure there are no issues with the tune on it or any issues at all if he's asking a lot for it. If he's willing to part it out I'd almost bet something is wrong somewhere. Find out who did the work on the car and the machine work on the block and head, get receipts for everything.

He said he hurt his back which now he cant work on cars anymore. And yeah i do want this car. he says there is no problems with the car. and yeah i dont know how to check the tune or anything like that. but i hope my buddy does. And only has receipts for the turbo system and other things not the motor.

I would take it as not having a built motor then. But, if you take a flashlight and shinedown the spark plug holes you should be able to see a shiny piston. If it's not shiny it's not built, walk away as he coulda lied about a lot or stuff, or lower the price.

Do it man!! That car is freaking gorgeous. I wish my GVR4 was that clean and putting that much horsepower down.
